Retail Volunteer Work Experience School/College Placements (Bescot Superstore)

Please only apply if you are seeking 1–2 weeks of work experience.

Longer-term placements are available for college students aged 16+ who have left school, subject to a suitable reference being provided.

At Acorns, we provide care and support for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and for their families. As a charity, much of this care is funded through fundraising and our network of charity shops.

To help us continue delivering this vital support, we are looking for enthusiastic and friendly work experience students to join our Acorns charity shops.

Our shops are lively and fast-paced environments, where no two days are the same — from welcoming customers, to processing donations, and everything in between.

As a Shop Work Experience Student with us, you will:

• Engage with customers in a friendly and helpful way
• Accept, sort, and organise donated stock
• Price items ready for sale
• Gain an insight into how a charity retail environment operates

Most superstores are opened 7 days per week 9am to 5.30pm, but some are open till 8pm. You can volunteer the hours that suit you, but ideally you will support in the shop for atleast 3 hours per week. We offer flexible 1–2 week work experience placements, giving you the opportunity to gain valuable skills while supporting our shop team.
